Hi guys,
It would be nice to use Wireguard VPN in IGELOS and UMS as a solution like OpenVPN.
Best regards
Just a short question before qualifying it: is this a client based licensing or centralized on server?
We use the licenses from the IGEL UMS and we use the IGEL ICG for external clients. Is this what you mean?
I use wireguard in my homelab and it’s more powerfull than OpenVPN and if you trust the it-news-sites more secure ;)
So you can connect a external IGEL client with a safe/fast VPN encrypted connection to the company LAN. It’s nice if you can use this as a alternative to OpenVPN.
I was more meaning how Wireguard is licensed :-D
Its free, kernel module. Good proposal!

This will most likely come at some point when IGEL adopts a later kenel release…since it is built into the Linux kernel now. :)
Thanks to MilanP who found out that the Binaries are now part of our OS: https://igelcommunity.slack.com/archives/C8GP9JHQE/p1629729203488200?thread_ts=1629298411.407400&cid=C8GP9JHQE
I will close the proposal now.
