Clients are asking for the ability to set Azure AD Conditional Access policies on their endpoints. Certificate policies are the driving force (using certificates to validate that an endpoint is a company device). This type of control is becoming a major talking point with customers.
So:
Validate a device when signing into an AVD session so that it is known the session login is from an IGEL endpoint issued by the company. USER on IGEL Device issued by the company is valid, USER from Random Device…invalid.
Right now, it looks like only Username/PW is available for AVD sessions on Linux endpoints, but the linked article at the top seems to indicate that UBUNTU is getting targeted for Intune functionality at the beginning of 2022, with other distros to follow.

We have passed this feedback to PM. They are evaluating it. I can’t promise it will get implemented sonish but at least they are looking at it!
