For thin clients with dual network interfaces, add capability to set them up with NIC teaming. This would likely use the Linux kernel bonding driver.
This would be useful when connecting to redundant network switches, common in industrial applications.
NIC Teaming or FTE system
This request is specifically about supporting NIC teaming when the thin clients are NOT part of a Honeywell fault tolerant Ethernet (FTE) environment.
It’s not required in FTE environments, because the proprietary FTE driver provided by Honeywell already manages the network redundancy and failover adequately.
