Host IGEL downloads behind a CDN#26

The downloads from igel.com are brutally slow.

Just in case, since it might more fit as an issue: did you went through igel.com or myigel.biz? or was it a download from UMS?

both igel.com and myigel.biz seem to max out at around 2MB/sec to my home (gigabit connection), and office.

What’s odd is they are both on an IDN. I have seen this change depending on the region you are in. I have no issues downloading the 2GB files here in 5~ minnutes, but in other places it can be very slow.

I think this depends on the ISP you use more than anything, and if they have caching from the CDN in their private networks, or have to pull it accross public lines.

Has been fixed accordingly to our IT and PM.
