Have IGEL thought about an all in one solution to further expand IGELs grip on the market and reduce the additional toolsets end users need to fully utilise all of IGELs features? For example, I believe I can see a benefit to all ICG customers if IGEL were to provide either an ICG appliance or support the users ICG and expand its capabilities to include a storage solution in the same way the UMS provides storage for the internal clients.
A favourite of mine would be integrating with something like ownCloud (https://owncloud.com) – this would mean the Linux OS provides both the ICG and External facing storage for the remote clients to register with (ICG) and retrieve files/customisations etc from the storage part (ownCloud). This would mean firmware updates and such could all be delivered from the ICG without needing some additional service (AWS) or internet facing server (FTPS/HTTPS).

I saw it yes, it would be great to get an appliance i was just expanding on it. With the integration of ownCloud or some alternative or even an IGEL developed solution to provide a hosting solution as part of the solution rather than needing something alternative/external solution.
I personally use ownCloud to get the full functionality at the moment but can see the benefit of IGEL providing a full toolset for managing remote clients.

ICG should be a file server for the external devices- Host files, firmware updates, custom partitions. Upload to ICG servers via UMS. If we could have a location under Files in UMS for ICG Files.
We have passed this feedback to PM. They are evaluating it. I can’t promise it will get implemented sonish but at least they are looking at it!
